Arica Chile

Known as “the city of eternal spring” forits pleasant climate, it is the capital of theprovince of the same name, bordering withPeru and Bolivia. Arica is an important portfor trade from Bolivia and with Tacna in Peru.Although it is situated on the coast, it is thedeparture point for visit to the Lluta and Azapavalleys, the highlands with the attractivevillages of Parinacota and Putre, the LaucaNational Park, the National Reserve of LasVicuñas and the National Monument of theSurire Salt flat. The town has pretty squaresand attractive beaches and is near to placesof historic interest such as the Museum of SanMiguel of Azapa which has archaeologicaldisplays of the region with more than 10thousand years of history.
